CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Illinois swim and dive team completed its intrasquad meet on Saturday (Oct. 5) at the ARC Pool. Team Orange left the pool as intrasquad champions by a score of 96-72.
The day began with Carlie Rose, Matilda Garcia and Elleka Boeres of Team Blue winning the first event, the 75 yard freestyle relay. Team Orange got on the board the very next event, the 200 medley relay, when Sophia Paduano, Kayla Duran, Logan Kuehne and Maggie Adler took the crown.
Team Orange dominated the next three events with wins in the 400 freestyle (Liv Dorshorst), three-meter dive (Elle Crisostomo) and 50 freestyle (Logan Kuehne). Laurel Bludgen ended the streak in the next set of 50 freestyle's, capturing a win for Team Blue.
Team Orange would go on to win the next three relays the 300 backstroke, 300 breaststroke and 300 butterfly. Boeres claimed the one-meter dive win for Team Blue and Sara Jass won the 200 freestyle for Team Orange. Adler captured one final win for Team Orange in the 300 freestyle. The 200 freestyle relay team of Bludgen, Molly Yetter, Isabella Wilhelm and Marin McAndrew won the final event of the day for Team Blue.

- Event 7 – 300 backstroke relay: First, Team Orange of Szymanski, Paduano and Stoll.
- Second, Team Blue of Baskar, Yousuf and Nikolaeva.
- Event 8 – 50 freestyle: First, Bludgen of Team Blue.
- Event 9 – 300 breaststroke relay: First, Team Orange of Bakker, Duran and Jass.
- Second, Team Blue of Umhofer, Sessions and Diner.
- Event 10 – 300 butterfly relay: First, Team Orange of Stoll, Ninan and Wendel.
- Second, Team Blue of Arroyo, Yousuf and Reaser.
- Event 11 – 1-Meter Dive: First, Boeres of Team Blue. Second, Mercer of Team Orange. Third, Garcia of Team Blue.
- Event 12 – 200 freestyle: First, Jass of Team Orange. Second, Rainwater of Team Blue. Third, Ninan of Team Orange.
- Event 13 – 300 freestyle: First, Adler of Team Orange. Second, Judas of Team Orange. Third, Nikolaeva of Team Blue.
- Event 14 – 200 freestyle relay: First, Team Blue of Bludgen, Yetter, Wilhelm and McAndrew.
- Second, Team Orange of Kirova, Bakker, Dorshorst and Judas.
