NORMAL, Ill. – The Illini men's and women's cross country teams both earned first place finishes at the Red Bird Invite on Friday in Normal, Ill. Jonathon Davis took the top spot in the men's 8k, finishing with a time of 23:22.8, while Emma Milburn led the Illini with a time of 20:37.7 in the women's 6k, earning a second place finish overall.
The men's team had four finishers in the top ten, as Jonathon Davis took first, followed by Tyler Cushing, Jack Roberts, and Nicolas Dovalsky, who finished in fifth, sixth, and eighth, respectively.
On the women's side, Emma Milburn picked up a runner up finish with Allison McGrath and Rebecca Craddock also finishing in the top ten.
