STILLWATER, Okla. – The Illinois men's and women's cross country teams finished the 2025 season at the NCAA Midwest Regionals on Friday (Nov. 14).
The top finisher for the Illini was a familiar face in Nora Wollen who's led the women's team all year finishing in 31st place today (21:15.4). Avril Andre was the next Orange and Blue runner to cross the line in 21:58.7 while Mireya Bugeja rounded out the women's top-3 finishers in 105th place (22:29.0). The women's team finished in 15th place out of 32 teams with 423 points
The Illinois men's squad was also led by a familiar leader of the pack in Joshua Daggett who clocked a 31:58.0 10k to finish 52nd overall. Adam Patel clocked in a 32:30.3 to place 75th and Pol Molins rounded out the men's top-3 finishers in 82nd place (32:40.3). The men's squad finished 16th out of 30 teams with 436 points.
This concludes the 2025 season for the men's and women's cross teams as no one qualified for the NCAA Championships. Fans can see the distance runners back in action after the new year when the 2026 track and field season begins on Jan. 10 with the Illini open in the UI Armory.
