OCALA, Fla. – The Illinois swim and dive team wrapped up the second day of competition at the CSCAA National Invitational Championships on Friday (March 14). Sydney Stoll touched first in the A finals of the 200 freestyle to take the event crown on a time of 1:46.96 beating second place by nearly half a second. She qualified with a morning preliminary swim of 1:48.53.
The 200 medley relay team of Suvana Baskar, Kayla Duran, Logan Kuehne and Isabella Wilhelm placed fourth (1:38.97). Additionally, Duran would later swim in the 100 breaststroke A finals and take sixth place (1:00.94).
Adelaide Reaser improved her program's 10th-fastest 400 IM time to 4:20.38 in the night's finals session where she placed 19th. The 800 freestyle relay team of Sophia Yousuf, Chloe Diner, Liv Dorshorst and Reaser placed 13th (7:25.96).
On the one-meter boards Bethany Mercer placed 14th with 242.80 points and Matilda Garcia placed 22nd with 227.35 points. Mercer also placed 12th on the platform (207.15) and placed 25th in the three-meter dive (239.45) while Garcia placed 33rd (196.70) on the three-meter boards.
