SAVOY, Ill. – The Illinois men's and women's cross country teams finished their first home meet of the season, the Fighting Illini Big Ten Preview, on Friday (Sept. 13) at the Orange and Blue Golf Course. There were three top-10 program times set at today's meet by senior Halle Hill (fifth, 20:11.50), sophomore Avril Andre (ninth, 20:33.40) and junior Alex Partlow (10th 23:51.10).
Hill was the top Illini finisher on the day with her silver medal in the 6k and Andre captured sixth place. Partlow led the Illini men's team placing seventh overall and junior Brady Masters placed 14th with a new personal-best time (24:02.00).
The men's team placed third today with 82 points while the women's team placed fourth with 121 points.
Two other Illini women recorded new 6k personal-best times today in sophomore Mabry Bruhn (21:55.40) and junior Audrey Ginsberg (23:05.90). Four other Illini men notched new 8k personal-best times in seniors Tyler Cushing (24:05.50) and Anthony Maida (24:09.60), juniors Will Merrick (24:16.00) and Shawn Juliette (25:40.30).

The Illinois cross country teams are off the next week before returning to Madison, Wis. for the Nuttycombe Invite on Friday (Sept. 27).
