Illinois Distance Swimmers Place 10th at CSCAA Open Water Nationals

MIAMI – The Illinois distance swimming crew completed the CSCAA Open Water Nationals on Sunday (Dec. 15) from Florida International University. Three swimmers made the trip to Miami to swim the 5k: senior Paloma Canos Cervera, junior Adelaide Reaser and sophomore Liv Dorshorst. They placed 10th as a trio out of 19 teams.

Canos Cervera led the Orange and Blue with her 24th-place finish on a time of 1:09:03.89. Dorshorst was the second Illini to finish in 39th place with her time of 1:09:51.31 and Reaser rounded out the trio in 53rd place on a time of 1:11:10.08.

UP NEXT

The Orange and Blue swim and dive crew returns to action after the new year with the divers competing in Flagstaff, Ariz. against Northern Arizona and Rice on Jan. 7 and the entire team returns for a home dual against Purdue on Jan. 11.
