CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Illinois men's cross country team is headed north to Madison, Wisc., for the Badger Classic on Saturday. Only the men's team will be making this trip, while the women's team will remain in Champaign. The men begin their 8k at 10:30 a.m. CT.
The Illini men making the trip up to Madison include seniors Jack Roberts, Will O'Brien and Evan Cummins; juniors Anthony Maida and Nicolas Dovalovsky; and sophomores Brady Masters and Alex Partlow.
Illinois hosted their lone home meet on Sept. 1. Both the men's and women's team came away victorious. Roberts led the way for the men's 6k (18:13.8), while junior Halle Hill won the women's 5k (17:30.8). Maida (18:14.0) and Partlow (18:31.4) each recorded new personal-bests.Â
