Fighting Illini middle blocker Kennedy Collins passed a significant career milestone in Illinois' match vs. UCF last Friday, Sept. 15, as part of the Boilermaker Challenge in West Lafayette, Ind. Collins, in her fifth season competing for the Orange and Blue, notched her 400th career block, moving into 17th place all-time in program history.
For the match Collins finished with four blocks, notching a solo roof and adding three block assists to give her 46 total blocks on the season. So far in 2023, Collins is averaging a career-best 1.15 blocks per set, a mark that is tied for the team lead. For her career, she has now recorded 42 solo blocks and 358 block assists.
Collins, from Zion, Ill., is a graduate student pursuing a Master of Science in management and carries a 3.32 GPA.
