Isaiah Williams registered a team-high eight receptions for 57 yards in the Illini's game vs. Nebraska on Friday. Williams' performance brought his career total to 170 catches, placing him second on the Illini's all-time receptions list. Williams has at least one catch in 31 consecutive games since switching from QB to WR and has recorded at least three receptions in 20 consecutive games with five or more catches in seven straight contests. He now has 1,752 career receiving yards, eighth all-time in program history and just 52 yards behind No. 9 Malik Turner (1,804 from 2014-17).
Off the field, Williams is heavily involved as a student-athlete leader, including his role as a co-leader with Illini Athletics' EMPOWER group.
A native of St. Louis, Mo., Williams graduated from Illinois in August with a bachelor's degree in recreation, sport & tourism, and holds a 3.36 GPA while pursuing his master's in strategic brand communication.
