Fighting Illini wide receiver Casey Washington had a career day in team's season finale vs. Northwestern, recording nine receptions for a career-high 218 yards and matching the Illinois program record with three touchdown catches. Washington's three-touchdown day was the first for an Illini receiver since A.J. Jenkins vs. Northwestern in 2011. His 218 yards were the third-most in program history and the most by a Big Ten player this season.
Washington, who hails from Round Rock Texas, maintains a 3.3 GPA. He completed his undergraduate degree in recreation, sport, & tourism in August of 2023, and is pursuing a graduate certificate in health communication.
