Illinois outside hitter/opposite Jessica Nunge turned in an amazing performance to lead the Fighting Illini to a five-set road victory over Rutgers at Jersey Mike's Arena on Sunday afternoon. As a team, the Illini tallied 58 kills and 12 blocks with Nunge leading the way by recording her fourth-straight match with double-digit kills. Nunge's 17 kills not only marked a season-high total, but also matched her career-high effort.
A native of Newburgh, Ind., Nunge holds a perfect 4.0 GPA as a fifth-year senior majoring in integrative biology.
