Cam McDonald | Sr., Baseball | Major: Recreation, Sport & Tourism

Cam McDonald hit a two-run homer to lead the Illinois baseball team to a 6-2 win over No. 25 West Virginia in the Cambria College Classic at U.S. Bank Stadium. His first homer of the year was a towering shot down the left field line. It stayed just inside the foul pole and easily cleared the 328-foot sign on the wall.  McDonald's three RBIs in the game are the most by an Illini this season. For the weekend, the utility player hit .455 (5-for-11) with a homerun, double, one run scored and twice was hit by a pitch.

McDonalds was named to the Cambria College Classic All-Tournament Team.

A native of Ladd, Ill., McDonald is majoring in Recreation, Sport & Tourism from the College of Applied Health Sciences.
