CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Illinois outdoor track and field schedule has been released for the spring. The Orange and Blue squad will first get outdoors in Bloomington, Ind. for the first Big Ten Invitational on March 26-27. The following weekend, they will travel to Jacksonville, Fla. to participate in the Iowa Big Ten Invite on April 2-3.

The next two weekends will feature trips to the Hoosier State to compete in the second Big Ten Invitational and the third Big Ten Invitational hosted by Indiana in Bloomington on April 9-10 and April 16-17. Simultaneously on April 16-17 will be the Husker Big Ten Invite taking place in Houston, Tex.

On April 23-24 the Illini will welcome competitors to Champaign to partake in the Fighting Illini Big Ten Relays. The following Saturday the squad will head to Minneapolis, Minn. for the Minnesota Meet on May 1 to wrap up the regular season.

Post season action will begin right back in Champaign with the Big Ten Championships at the newly renovated Demirjian Park on May 14-16. Those athletes who qualify will be invited to the NCAA Regional Finals from May 27-29 in College Station, Tex. Athletes that have outstanding performances at that meet will then hope to qualify for the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore. from June 9-12.
