Raina Terry | SO, Volleyball | Major: Kinesiology
Fighting Illini sophomore outside hitter Raina Terry led the way for the the No. 25 Illinois volleyball team in a pair of ranked matchups against No. 9 Nebraska and No. 11 Minnesota. Terry recorded a match-high 12 kills on a .250 hitting percentage, and added seven digs during the team's battle against the Cornhuskers on Thursday night. On Saturday Terry was again a top performer for the Orange and Blue, notching nine kills while serving up a match-high three aces against the Golden Gophers.
During Terry's freshman season, she received the Big Ten Freshman of the Week Award (3/22/21) and was nominated as a Freshman of the Year candidate at Illinois' Oskee Awards.
Terry is majoring in kinesiology in the College of Applied Health Sciences. She is a native of Marengo, Ohio.
