The University of Illinois women's gymnastics team scored a season-high 196.650 at the 2019 Big Ten Women's Gymnastics Championships. Illinois placed second behind Big Ten Champion Michigan (197.400) and finished ahead of Super Six finalist and Big Ten powerhouse Nebraska (196.550). This marks the program's 11th top-three finish and the sixth time Illinois has finished first or second at the Big Ten Championships.

Redshirt senior Mary Jane Otto earned her second Big Ten bars title, matching a career-high 9.975. She also received two perfect 10s from a pair of judges, marking a season first. Otto is the fourth gymnast in Illinois history to win multiple Big Ten individual titles during her career. Otto was in a four-way tie for second place with an impressive 9.900 on beam. Additionally, she tied a season-high 39.500 in the all-around. Based on Otto's performances, she earned a place on the Big Ten All-Championship Team on bars and beam.

Redshirt-senior Emery Parker won the final match of his career to place fifth at 184-pounds at the NCAA Championships. The No. 4 seed at 184-pounds, Parker defeated North Carolina's Chip Ness in an 11-5 decision to take fifth in the weight class at this year's national tournament. 

Parker is an All-American at 184-pounds for the second time in his career with the finish. Parker is the 41st wrestler in program history to earn All-American honors at least twice in his career. Parker's final career record stands at 86-23. His win percentage of .788 ranks 16th in Illinois program history.
