Illinois Athletics unveiled its first of many posters for the 2017-18 athletics year with the new Fighting Illini football poster.

"In the sports design world, it's always a competition of who can make the best poster," said Creative Director Eduardo Diazmuñoz. "We wanted to achieve that by making the most organic poster."

Illinois senior Malik Turner is featured on the print version. Digital wallpapers feature Turner, Kendrick Foster and Chayce Crouch. You can download the wallpapers here.

"Our goal was to design without a computer as much as possible. There's very few enhancements on the finished photo. The 'Hail to the Orange' is custom handpainted lettering. With this more natural approach, we hope Fighting Illini fans get to see a side of our student-athletes they don't normally see."

Fans can pick up a free poster and/or pocket schedule card in the reception foyer at the Bielfeldt Athletic Administration building (1700 S. Fourth Street, Champaign) or at several Champaign area businesses in the coming weeks. Posters are available to order online for free, though each order will have a $3 shipping charge.
