2021

Indoor

  • Finished in 10th place in the 60 m at the Big Ten Championships with a 7.51 (qualified with a PR 7.48)
  • Placed third in both the long jump and the 60 m at the Larry Wieczorek Invitational
  • Secured second place for the Illini in the long jump at the Husker Quad with a jump of 19-1.5

Outdoor

  • Finished in 45th in the 200 m at the NCAA West Regional with a time of 24.09
  • Placed eighth at the B1G Championships in the 100 m to earn one point for the squad
  • Placed third in the 200 m open at the B1G North Florida Invite with a time of 24.15
  • Placed second in the 400 m hurdles at the B1G Invite #2 with a 1:00.27
  • Took second place in the 100 m with a time of 11.65 at the Fighting Illini B1G Relays
  • Placed third in the long jump with a PR mark of 6.02 m and second in the 200 m with a PR time of 23.76 at the M City Classic

2020

Outdoor

  • Outdoor season canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic

Indoor 

  • Competed in the Long Jump, 60m, 200m, and 4x400m relay across five meets for the Illini, including Big Ten Championships
  • Tied for the fifth-best indoor Long Jump in program history at the Larry Wieczorek Invite, winning the event title with a jump of 20-1 3/4 (6.14 meters)
  • Scored for the Illini at Big Ten Championships as part of the 4x400m relay, which placed eighth with a season-best time of 3:41.10
  • Won the event title in the 60m Dash at the Illini Invitational, clocking a finish time of 7.52
  • Won the event titles in the Long Jump and with the 4x400m at the Illini Invitational 
  • Set a PR in the 200m at the Music City Challenge, timing 24.49 to finish eighth in the event

Outdoor

  • Competed in 7 meets for the Illini 
  • Competed in the 400m hurdles at Big Ten Championships, timing 1:01.93
  • Ran a season best 1:00.59 in the 400m hurdles at the Drake Relays
  • Took 1st place in the 400m hurdles at the Ole Miss Classic and Illini Twilight

2018

Outdoor

  • Qualified for NCAA Prelims as member of the 4x100m relay 
  • Competed at Big Ten Championships in 400m hurdles, timing 1:00.12
  • Clocked 1:00.00 to set a new PR at Drake Relays 
  • Timed a 1:00.89 PR in the 400m hurdles at Mt. SAC Relays
  • Placed runner-up in the 400m hurdles at the Illinois Twilight

Indoor

  • Set 60m and 200m PRs at Big Ten Championships, timing 7.52 and 24.68 respectively in her conference meet debut 
  • Reset PRs in 60m (7.57) and 200m (24.69) at Iowa State Classic 
  • Set a new 400m PR wit ha time of 55.99 at Rod McCravy
  • Scored 20 points for the team at the Illini Classic, placing in the top-3 of the 60m, 200m and 400m races. 
  • Made her collegiate debut at the Illinois Open, placing fourth in the 200m

  • No. 7 ranked 400m hurdler in the country and No. 16 in the indoor long jump
  • 14-time Virginia State Champion (long jump, 55m, 100m, 200m, 300m)
  • 2017 New Balance Nationals 400m Hurdles Third Place
  • Scored 68 points between VHSL indoor and outdoor state championships in 2017

  • Has older siblings, Niamani and Kwesis
  • Majoring in Kinesiology
  • Mother, Nyarinda, competed at the University of Mississippi and sister, Niamani, competes at VCU
  • Cites Sanya Richards-Ross as her favorite athlete because of her personality and what she's accomplished
  • Chose Illinois after falling in love with the atmosphere of the school and team during her visit.
