CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The No. 1 women's and No. 16 men's track and field teams are prepared to conclude the indoor regular season with the Illini Last Chance meet on Friday (Feb. 20) in the UI Armory. Field events are set to begin at 11 a.m. and track events begin at 12 p.m. CT.

The women's squad has remained at the No. 1 ranked team for four-consecutive weeks as they continue to have new bests performances each week. This past weekend at the Tyson Invitational three weight throwers recorded new personal-bests and are now the top-3 marks in the school record book. Jordan Koskondy is new school record holder, 23.59m (77-4 3/4), Phethisang Makhethe is number two, 23.39m (76-9), and Oluwatomilayo Akintunde is in third, 22.06m (72-4 1/2).

Triple jumper Mercy Honesty improved to the school's second-best jump on a leap of 13.52m (44-4 1/4). On the men's side Cody Johnston increased his school record pole vault to 5.70m (18-8 1/4), while Zavien Wolfe improved his program's second-best triple jump to 16.46m (54-0).
