COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Illinois women's track and field team finished their final day of the NCAA West Preliminaries on Saturday (May 31) from E.B. Cushing Stadium at Texas A&M. The 4x100m relay squad (Azariyah Bryant, Sophia Beckmon, Asia Thomas, Llyric Driscoll) and Rose Yeboah (high jump) punched their tickets today to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore.
The 4x100m relay squad sped to their qualification on a school record time of 43.35 which placed them third in their heat earning the automatic qualification. Their mark is also the 18th-fastest time in the nation for 2025. This marks the second-straight season that the Illinois women are sending a 4x100m relay team to Eugene.
Yeboah cruised to a national qualification in the high jump when she cleared 1.84m (6-0 1/2) on her first attempt. She posted a clean sheet after passing on 1.71m (5-7 1/4) she went on to clear 1.76m (5-9 1/4) and 1.81m (5-11 1/4) with ease before punching her ticket with the 1.84m. The reigning outdoor high jump national champion is back to seek her second-consecutive NCAA gold.

The 10 national qualifiers are off next week before they travel to Eugene, Ore. for the NCAA Outdoor Championships on June 11-14 in Hayward Field.
