CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - Illinois women's gymnastics head coach Josh Nilson announced the squad's 2026 schedule on Wednesday, Oct. 22.
The Illini are set to host four contests throughout the 2026 season, including a meeting with UCLA in State Farm Center.
JANUARY
The Illini will open the season Jan. 10 with a quad meet at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City, Iowa. Teams in attendance include Iowa, Iowa State, and Illinois State.
Big Ten competition starts in Huff Hall the following week (Jan. 16), when the Fighting Illini face Penn State before traveling to Ohio State to face the Buckeyes on Jan. 25.
FEBRUARY
Illinois begins February in Champaign against Maryland on Feb. 1. Next, the Orange and Blue will travel to the West Coast for a contest at Washington on Feb. 7.
On Feb. 15, the Illini are set to compete in a conference matchup at Nebraska. They will end their February road trip at Missouri on Feb. 20.
UCLA is slated to visit State Farm Center for the first time on Feb. 22.
MARCH
March kicks off with the B1G 4 meet in Minneapolis, where the Illini will face Michigan State, Minnesota, and Rutgers on March 1.
On March 8, Illinois returns to Champaign to host Alabama. The Orange and Blue will then make the trip north once again to battle Minnesota in nonconference play to close the regular season.
After a week of preparation, the gymnasts will head to the Big Ten Championships on March 20-22 (location TBA).
APRIL
Illinois looks to appear at their 22nd consecutive NCAA regional appearance on April 2 (location TBA).
The NCAA Championships, set for April 16-18, will be held at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.
