
Cho, Saltness Secure CSC Academic All-District Distinction

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Fighting Illini women's gymnastics team saw two student-athletes recognized with CSC Academic All-District honors, the organization announced on Tuesday. Chloe Cho and Lyden Saltness were honored by College Sports Communicators for the first time in their respective careers.
To be eligible for the recognition, a nominee must have at least a 3.50 GPA and be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. Nominees must also be ranked in the top 75 in an event within their division, according to Road to Nationals rankings, and/or have competed at their divisional national championship event.
Cho put together a historic 2026 campaign that featured 25 total individual titles while finishing in the top 10 nationally on uneven bars and all-around. She also collected WCGA Regular Season All-America and All-Big Ten First Team honors and qualified for NCAA Regionals as an all-arounder during her sophomore season.
Saltness competed in 13 total meets for the Orange and Blue in 2026, ranking as high as No. 6 on uneven bars before earning a spot at NCAA Regionals. She scored at least a 9.9 on bars six times, including three outings with a 9.925 on the event. Saltness is majoring in interdisciplinary health sciences.
