WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Illinois swim and dive team completed the final day of the Big Ten Championships on Saturday (Feb. 24).
The 400 freestyle relay team of junior Sydney Stoll, junior Logan Kuehne, senior Lily Olson and senior Laurel Bludgen placed 10th with the program's second-fastest time (3:21.15).
Sophomore Sara Jass placed third in the 200 breaststroke B finals (2:13.31), and she scored 16 points from her swim. She led the Illini individual scorers with 19 points scored. Stoll swam the sixth-fastest 100 freestyle in the time trials (50.16).
Freshman Bethany Mercer placed 23rd (189.60) on the platform dive to score two points. She is the first Illinois diver to score on the tower since Ling Kuhn placed 13th in the B final in 2019 (254.90).
