Scholar Athlete of the Week | Aidan Laughery

Illinois sophomore running back Aidan Laughery is this week's Prairie Farms Scholar Athlete of the Week after being named the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week and guiding Illinois to a rivalry win over Northwestern on Nov. 30 at Wrigley Field. Laughery rushed for 172 yards and three touchdowns against the Wildcats, both of which were career-best marks. The Gibson City, Ill., native did so on just 12 carries, averaging 14.3 yards per rushing attempt while posting touchdown runs of 30, 31, and 64 yards.

Laughery is a sophomore majoring in recreation, sport, and tourism.
