Kenta Miyoshi | Sr., Men's Tennis | Majors: Strategy, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship.
Senior Kenta Miyoshi was tabbed with unanimous All-Big Ten First Team honors for the second straight year, earning a spot on an All-Big Ten team for the third consecutive season. Miyoshi posted a 6-1 singles mark in Big Ten play, bringing his career conference singles record to 22-4 across his four years at Illinois. An ITA Singles All-American for the second straight season, he went 4-1 at No. 1 singles and 2-0 at No. 2, finishing 13-7 in dual match play.
Miyoshi was also named the male recipient of the Big Ten Medal of Honor, presented at Monday's Oskees student-athlete celebration. Established in 1915, the award is given annually to one male and one female student-athlete from each Big Ten institution who has demonstrated excellence on and off the field.
Miyoshi, a senior student from Tokyo, Japan, is majoring in Strategy, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship at the University of Illinois.
