Brandon Dang | Jr., Men's Gymnastics | Majors: Electrical Engineering

Junior Brandon Dang claimed the NCAA pommel horse championship on Saturday night at State Farm Center, helping the Fighting Illini to a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Championships. Dang scored a 14.700 on the event to earn the first NCAA title of his career and become the first Illini national champion since 2024. 

Dang, a junior student from San Jose, California, is majoring in Electrical Engineering at the University of Illinois.
