CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Director of Illinois track, field and cross country Petros Kyprianou announced the addition of Lucie Kienast on Tuesday (Nov 26). She will join the team at the beginning of the 2025 season as a freshman.
Kienast holds personal best of 6.54m (21-5 1/4) in the long jump and 6,044 points in the heptathlon. Her heptathlon score would shatter Carmel Corbett's program record (5,658) by nearly 400 points; her long jump would rank as the program's fifth-best mark.
In terms of placing at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, her best marks would've placed her fourth in the heptathlon and fifth in the long jump last season.
