CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Orange and Blue swimming and diving squad is set to travel to Florida International University (FIU) for their first two-day meet of the season. The meet on Friday Nov. 4 will start at 4 p.m. CT and Saturday Nov. 5 at 9 a.m. CT. The swimming Illini are 4-1 to start the season. Their best start since 2016 where they started 4-0.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS

FIU boasts a 2-1 record coming into the meet. They lost their first meet to Miami (Fla.), but placed first out of six teams in their opening tournament the following week. Last weekend they beat Liberty 234-214.

LAST MEET

Illinois split their last meet at Northwestern/vs. University of Illinois-Chicago (UIC). They defeated UIC 223-76, but fell short in their Big Ten opener 92-203 against Northwestern. Freshman Abby Manos aims to improve from her third-place finish in the three-meter dive. Freshman Liv Dorshorst looks to get back to first place after she finished second in both the 500 and 1000 freestyle.
