CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — Head coach Jeana Kempe announced on Monday morning the signing of Missouri transfer Katie Gresik for the 2026-27 campaign. Gresik, a native of Oswego, Illinois, joins the Orange and Blue after two seasons at Missouri.
With the Tigers, Gresik primarily swam freestyle and individual medley events. She wrote her name into the record book at Missouri, swimming a 9:50.05 1000 freestyle in 2024 against Texas A&M, good for fourth all-time in program history.
At the 2026 Mizzou Qualifier in March, she placed first in the 500 freestyle (4:51.82) and second in the 200 breaststroke (2:20.25). Earlier in the season against Louisville, she notched bronze in the 1000 freestyle (10:02.32).
Gresik tallied many personal bests in the first two years of her collegiate career, including in the 200 freestyle (1:48.78), 1650 freestyle (16:37.81), 150 breaststroke (1:43.20), 200 breaststroke (2:17.54), the 200 IM (2:02.82), and the 400 IM (4:18.24).
