CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — The University of Illinois swimming and diving team heads into Big Ten Championships this week. Swimming will be in Minneapolis, Minnesota, for five days from Tuesday, Feb. 23 – Saturday, Feb. 27, while diving will compete in West Lafayette, Indiana, for three days from Thursday, Feb. 25 – Saturday, Feb. 27.

The Orange and Blue will see competition from six teams that are currently ranked in the top-25 nationally (according to the CSCAA poll) including, No. 7 Northwestern, No. 9 Michigan, No. 17 Wisconsin, No. 21 Indiana, No. 22 Minnesota and No. 23 Ohio State. The Illini fell to Northwestern and Wisconsin in the regular season finale.

The five-day swimming meet will begin with relay events on Tuesday night at 5:00 p.m. CT. On Wednesday through Saturday, the teams will swim a preliminary session in the morning at 11 a.m. CT, with the championship session to follow at 6:30 p.m. CT. Prelims for diving will begin at 11:20 a.m. CT each day with finals happening at 5:35 p.m. CT.

No fans will be permitted at the 2020-21 Big Ten Swimming & Diving Championships.
