WINDERMERE, Fla. – The Illinois men's golf team, ranked No. 17 in the latest Bushnell/Golfweek Coaches' Top-25 poll and rated No. 26 nationally by Golfstat, closes out the fall competition schedule, Oct. 17-19, in Windermere, Fla., at the prestigious Isleworth Collegiate (previously the Tavistock Collegiate).
THE SETTING
The Isleworth Collegiate, widely regarded as one of the top events on the college golf schedule, is held at the Par-72, 7,544-yard Isleworth Golf & Country Club in Windermere, Fla. The course is home to one of the longest and toughest tracks in the state. Originally designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay with a re-design by Steve Smyers in 2003, the course demands precise drives and accurate short game shots.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT
The 54-hole tournament will be a five-count-four format played over three days, with 18 holes slated for each day of competition. Each round is set to tee off beginning at 8 a.m. ET, Sunday-Tuesday.
THE FIELD
The field includes 14 programs vying for the title, highlighted by seven program ranked or receiving votes in the GCAA Bushnell/Golfweek Coaches' Top-25 poll, or rated inside the top 50 by Golfstat. The No. 17 Illini are joined by No. 3 Arizona State, No. 21 Auburn, Florida (RV), LSU (RV) and SMU (RV), plus North Florida who is not receiving votes in the coaches' poll but is rated No. 42 by Golfstat. The rest of the fields includes Augusta, Cal, Coastal Carolina, Minnesota, South Carolina, and co-hosts UCF and West Virginia.

ILLINI AT THE ISLEWORTH COLLEGIATE INVITATIONAL
The Fighting Illini have competed in the event (previously known as the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational) 11 times since 2007, including each of the last eight (2012-19). The Illini took home the team title in 2015.
Of the current members of the Illini roster, only senior Adrien Dumont de Chassart and junior Jerry Ji has previously competed in the event. Dumont de Chassart finished tied for 29th as a freshman in the 2018, and tied for 48th as a sophomore in 2019, the last year the event was contested. Ji, as a freshman in 2019, finished tied for 43rd.
