
Chen Finishes Fifth in China’s National Amateur Tour Leg 1

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — Illinois freshman Siyan Chen tied for fifth at the China Golf Association's National Amateur Tour Leg 1 held in Yangjiang, Guangdong, China. Chen carded rounds of 71, 76, and 71 in the three-round event for a total of 218.
Xiaowen Yin won the tournament with a score of 207 (70-68-69).
It was Chen's second event of the summer in China after she won the Super Lychee National Amateur Golf Future Leg 1 in June at Changde Golf Course.
