CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Sophomore Taylor Shegos and freshman Erin Young will head to Lexington, Kentucky, to compete for NCAA Championships berths at the Zone C Diving Championships, held at the Lancaster Aquatic Center at the University of Kentucky on Thursday, March 12 through Saturday, March 14. The event will begin at 12 p.m. CT on Thursday and Friday and starts at 10 a.m. CT on the final day. Shegos will take part in the one-meter and three-meter events, while Young will compete in the platform dive.

Schedule of Events

Top 18 in springboard prelims and platform prelims advance to finals
Thursday at 12 p.m. – Women's 1-Meter, Women's 3-Meter
Friday at 12 p.m. – Women's 1-Meter, Men's 3-Meter
Saturday at 10 a.m. – Women's Platform, Men's Platform to follow 

Automatic Qualifying Spots to NCAA Championships from Zone C

Top 12 in an event also qualify for NCAAs if she has already auto-qualified
1-Meter - Women: 7 
3-Meter - Women: 6
Platform - Women: 10

The top five female divers from each event at their respective zone diving meet will be eligible to compete at the NCAA Championships. Additional place finishers in each event at each zone will be eligible based on the number of student-athletes from that zone who finished in the top 16 in that event at the previous year's NCAA Championships. All eligible divers must have achieved the zone qualifying score prior to the NCAA Championships in all events they wish to participate.

Zone C is allotted nine spots on one-meter, eight spots on three-meter, and 12 spots on platform. Any diver that qualifies for the NCAA Championships will be allowed to optionally enter any other event(s) at the championships, provided that the diver finished in the top 12 at the same zone meet and has achieved the zone qualifying score for that event prior to the NCAA Championships.
