Final Results
CHICAGO, Ill. – The University of Illinois diving team completed competition at the UIC Diving Invitational in Chicago earlier this afternoon at the UIC Natatorium. Sophomores Taylor Shegos came away with a first-place finish in the three-meter dive for the Illini.
Sophomore Madelyn Crosby finished the one-meter dive in sixth-place with a six dive total of 242.70. Freshman Erin Young followed behind in seventh with a score of 239.90. Shegos had a 214.20 and junior Erin Emme scored a 189.85 to take 13th and 19th place, respectively.
Shegos sat atop the podium with a six dive total of 292.85 in three-meter. Crosby finished with a 263.00 that was good for fifth, while Young finished eighth with a 249.75.
Next Up
The Illinois diving team will be back in action, along with the swimming team, as they travel to Columbus, Ohio for the Ohio State Winter Invite. The all-day event will take place Saturday, Feb. 15 through Sunday, Feb. 16.
