CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - For the first time in program history, the Fighting Illini swimming and diving team will have a diver compete on platform at the NCAA Championships. Senior Ling Kuhn, who earned the berth after a strong performance at the NCAA Zone C Championships a week ago, will compete on the event on Saturday, beginning with trials at 11:15 a.m. CT. 

The platform diving school-record holder holds a season-high total of 272.00 on the event, which ranks second in program history. Kuhn is the first Illini diver to qualify for the NCAA Championships since 1992 (Sabine Taafe).
