CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - Illini divers Ling Kuhn and Taylor Shegos will wrap up the Illinois swimming and diving regular season by competing in the annual UIC Diving Invitational on Saturday, February 2, at 11 a.m. CT.
Last year at the event, Kuhn came away with the top 1-meter score (285.35) and finished fourth on 3-meter (252.80). In 2017, Kuhn earned the 3-meter crown with a score of 266.90 and placed second overall on 1-meter (247.40).
The Illinois divers will face competition from a number of schools, including the University of Chicago, Green Bay, Lake Forest, Wisconsin-Oshkosh and Nebraska-Omaha.
Kuhn holds the team's top scores on both boards, as the senior registered a 290.62 on 1-meter against Nebraska a week ago and finished with a season and career-best 312.90 on 3-meter at Youngstown State last month.
Shegos has been impressive in her freshman campaign, as the Fenton, Michigan, native has posted season-best totals of 281.55 and 285.52 on 1-meter and 3-meter, respectively.
