ATLANTA, Ga. – Seniors Kristin Anderson and Jamie Kolar closed out the final day of the 2019 Toyota U.S. Open Championships on Saturday afternoon at the Georgia Tech McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta.
Anderson competed in the preliminaries of the 100-meter freestyle. The Palatine, Ill., native tied for 141st place with a time of 59.07. Kolar secured 71st place after finishing with a time of 2:20.01.
Redshirt senior Aby Olson completed her events of the U.S. Open on Friday, Dec. 6.

The Orange and Blue will compete Jan. 11, against both Iowa and Notre Dame in Iowa City, Iowa. Meet action is set to begin at 11 a.m. CT.
Kolar, Olson Complete Second Day of U.S. Open Championships
Saturday, Dec. 7 will mark the final day of competition at the U.S. Open Championships
ATLANTA, Ga. – Senior Jamie Kolar and redshirt senior Aby Olson both competed Friday at the Georgia Tech McAuley Aquatic Center at the 2019 Toyota U.S. Open Championships in Atlanta.
Kolar and Olson raced in the preliminaries of the 100-meter backstroke for the day. Kolar finished with a time of 1:04.54 to take 84th-place, while Olson took 139th with a time of 1:07.98.
Senior Kristin Anderson and Kolar will wrap up competition at the U.S. Open Championships on Saturday, Dec. 7, as they will swim the 100-meter freestyle and the 200-meter backstroke, respectively.

Anderson Finishes First Day at U.S. Open Championships

ATLANTA, Ga. – Senior Kristin Anderson completed her first event at the 2019 Toyota U.S. Open Championships Thursday night in Atlanta at the Georgia Tech McAuley Aquatic Center. Anderson and fellow senior Jamie Kolar also took part in the Olympic time trials for their respected events that were only held Thursday.
Competing in the preliminaries of the 50-meter freestyle, Anderson came away with a time of 26.93, tying for 107th place. The Palatine, Ill., native also swam a time of 27.19 in the event in the Olympic time trials run. Kolar touched the wall in the 100-meter backstroke with a time 1:04.81 during the Olympic time trials.
The U.S. Open Championships will continue Friday, Dec. 6, as Kolar and redshirt senior Aby Olson both compete in the 100-meter backstroke.
