Illini Tied for Fourth after Second Round in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, N.C. - No. 18 Illinois dropped from a tie for first to a tie for fourth on day two of the Landfall Tradition at the Country Club of Landfall on Saturday. Sophomore Crystal Wang's 73 (+1) led the Illini in the second round with the help of a pair of birdies on the back nine.
Senior Tristyn Nowlin and sophomore Kornkamol Sukaree each carded a 74 (+2), and junior Ali Morallos fired a 75 (+3) to round out Illinois' counting scores.
Illinois' 120 pars are the second-most through two rounds of the tournament. The Illini are -5 on par-5 holes, the second-lowest of any team.
The Illini will tee off on holes 3-6 with Sunday's 7:45 CT shotgun start.
