CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — Illinois women's golf turned in a 3.915 combined GPA for the 2025-26 academic year, taking home the top ranking among Power 4 programs for the second consecutive season, and the sixth spot in all of Division I women's golf.
Illinois has now earned Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-Scholar Team GPA recognition in five seasons under head coach Renee Slone, dating back to its first such honor in 2019-20. The squad's sixth place finish tops the previous best of seventh, which was achieved twice, in 2024-25 and 2020-21.
Of the top 25 team GPAs, No. 6 Illinois (3.915) and No. 20 Rutgers (3.85) were the only Big Ten Representatives.
Earlier this summer, five Fighting Illini were individually named WGCA All-American Scholars, Erica Lee, Brielle Mapanao, Alexis Myers, Anna Ritter, and Victoria Zheng. The team also earned Illinois' Outstanding Team GPA Award for the second consecutive season at the 2026 Oskees.
