TEMPE, Ariz. – The Illinois men's tennis team kicked off the 2019 season at the inaugural Tempe Collegiate Cup on Thursday afternoon. Held at the Kiwanis Tennis Center, the three-day event from Jan. 10-12 served as a tune-up heading into dual season.

Illinois competed against players from No. 3 Mississippi State, No. 14 TCU, and No. 24 Arizona State.

Next up, the Orange and Blue head to Atlanta for the MLK Invitational hosted by Georgia Tech. This will serve as the last tournament for the Illini before they head into dual match season.
