CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Lovie Smith and the Fighting Illini football team hosted their first practice of training camp Friday afternoon. Quoting Lovie
"We look like more of a football team, just off the hook. We have legitimate competition at so many positions and that should only make us better. You have a to have a first day, this is the first day. We don't have it figured out yet, but it was a step in the right direction. I can't wait to get ready to go tomorrow."
