Annual BTNLive bus tour rolls through Champaign-Urbana
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Big Ten Network preseason bus tour made its annual stop to Fighting Illini football practice on Tuesday morning.
Dave Revsine, Gerry DiNardo, former Illini Howard Griffin and J Leman, and Alex Roux took in Illinois' practice and taped segments for Tuesday's B1G Football & Beyond telecast. Included in the segments are on-set interviews with head coach Lovie Smith, offensive coordinator Rod Smith, defensive coordinator Hardy Nickerson, quarterback AJ Bush, wide receiver Mike Dudek, defensive lineman Bobby Roundtree and linebacker Del'Shawn Phillips.
Additional segments included passing game coordinator/cornerbacks coach Gill Byrd mic'd up, running back Mike Epstein signing his giant photo on the tour bus, wide receiver Ricky Smalling offering suggestions for improving the tour bus and punter Blake Hayes with some kicking tricks.
Today's tour stop airs on Tuesday evening several times on B1G Football & Beyond – 4 pm CT, 6:30 pm CT, 8:30 pm CT and 10 pm CT. Check BTN listings for details and additional airings.
