KENNESAW, Ga. – On the opening day of the Henssler Financial Intercollegiate in Kennesaw, Georgia, the Fighting Illini women's golf team posted rounds of 304 and 298, respectively, to sit in a share of second place. All five Orange and Blue golfers will enter the final round tomorrow ranked in the top-25 individually.

Leading the Illini is sophomore Grace Park who finished the day in a share of eighth place after posting rounds of 76 and 74 on the opening day from the Pinetree Country Club. Park leads the individual field with 27 holes at par through 36 holes.

Chayanid Prapassarangkul carded rounds of 75 and 76 on the opening day and enters the break in a tie for 13^th place. The Illini sophomore posted the third-most birdies across the individual field with 25 in addition to four birdies.

Bing Singhsumalee and Stephanie Miller are currently tied for 17^th following eight-over par scores of 152 on the first day of action. Singhsumalee carded rounds of 77 and 75 while Miller posted two rounds of 76.

After opening the tournament with a mark of 80, Dana Gattone climbed 24 spots thanks to a one-over par round of 73 to close the day. Gattone led the Orange and Blue with six birdies, the second-best mark across the individual field.

No. 26 Texas Tech leads the team standings after two rounds of play with a combined reading of 583 (+7). Illinois and No. 34 Augusta are tied for second in the field with a combined score of 602. Chattanooga (608) and Middle Tennessee (610) round out the top five while South Florida, Troy, Kennesaw State, Old Dominion and East Tennessee State sit in sixth through 10^th places. Mercer and Georgetown own the final two spots in the 12-team field.

The final round from the Henssler Financial Intercollegiate will commence tomorrow morning with an 8:15 a.m. CT shotgun start.
