CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Less than a week after earning a top-five finish in Hawaii, the Fighting Illini women's golf team will be back in action on the opposite side of the country, participating in the Kennesaw State-hosted Henssler Financial Intercollegiate. Action will take place across two days starting Monday, March 28, with a pair of shotgun-start rounds and conclude Tuesday, March 29.
Illinois will be the lone Big Ten representative in the Henssler Financial Intercollegiate 12-team field. The field features a pair of teams ranked in the top 50 in No. 26 Texas Tech and No. 34 Augusta. Middle Tennessee State (53) and the Fighting Illini (63) rank just outside of the top 50.
Traveling for the Orange and Blue over spring break will be Stephanie Miller, Dana Gattone, Grace Park, Chayanid Prapassarangkul and Bing Singhsumalee. The five have competed at every tournament this season for the Illini.
Competition from the Pinetree Country Club will open on Monday, March 28, with an 8:15 a.m. CT shotgun start. Teams will play 36 holes on the opening day of action. Play will resume on Tuesday with another 8:15 a.m. CT shotgun start to wrap up the final round.
