Champaign, Ill. -Â The Fighting Illini swimming and diving team dominated from start to finish on Saturday, November 5, on its way to a 184-77 win over Indiana State. With the victory, the Illini move to 6-1 on the season.
"It was nice to get a win on the road," said head coach Sue Novitsky. "Indiana State competed really well and has a very strong future as a program. I was pleased to see the team step up and compete in some different events. We trained hard this week and they were pretty tired and sore, but overall they were able to ignore their discomfort and get to the next wall."
There were no weak spots for Illinois, as the team earned first-place finishes in 13 of the 14 events.
