TEAM NOTES
- The Illini failed to complete a fourth-quarter come back win and snapped its three-game winning streak in Big Ten games. Illinois moves to 3-2 on the season.
- Illinois has won four of its last seven Big Ten games after going 1-24 in its previous 25 conference contests.
- Illinois leads the all-time series against Iowa, 38-31-2, including an 18-17-2 mark in Iowa City.
- The defensive line totaled 23 tackles and 18 solo tackles in today's game.
- After scoring seven points in the first half, the Illini totaled 13 points in the second half.
- The Illini offense produced 317 passing yards against Iowa, its second-highest passing total on the season.
- In the fourth quarter, the Illini completed seven-play, 85-yard touchdown drive to close the deficit to 23-20. The touchdown drive was the longest the Illini have produced this season.

INDIVIDUAL NOTES
- After starting the game 4-for-13, junior QB West Lunt completed 11-straight passes (last two in first half and nine in the third quarter). Lunt was 6-for-15 in the first half for 89 yards and 19-for-27 for 228 yards in the second half.
- Junior LEO Dawuane Smoot totaled one sack and three TFLs. Smoot has recorded a least one sack in each of the last three games.
- Senior DE Jihad Ward made a career-high 11 tackles and nine solo tackles.
- Senior WR Geronimo Allison turned in his third-straight game totaled over 90 receiving yards. Allison finished with eight receptions for 148 yards. Coming into today's game, Allison led the Big Ten in receptions and receiving yards.
- With 10:13 left in the fourth quarter junior QB Wes Lunt connected with senior WR Geronimo Allison for a 53-yard touchdown. It marked the longest passing play of the season for the Illini.
- Junior LB T.J. Neal Jr. led the team in tackles, totaling a career-high 14 tackles.
- Freshman RB Ke'Shawn Vaughn turned in his third-straight game over 60 rushing yards. Vaughn finished with 116 all-purpose yards.
- True freshmen (WR Desmond Cain, RB Ke'Shawn Vaughn and WR Sam Mays) accounted for 156 of the Illini's 317 total yards (49.2 %)
