Boerne, Texas - The Illinois women's golf team finished in eighth place at the Jim West Challenge hosted by Texas State University. Due to the threat of severe weather the tournament was cut short by a day to result in 36 holes of golf being played on Monday, November 3 instead of the 18 that were originally scheduled.

Illinois turned in a 922 (+56) final team score for the event. Head coach Renee Slone's unit carded a 310 on the first day and followed with rounds of 305 and 307 on the final day.
