BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Senior Britni Fisher and juniors Tessa Adams, Keri Eberhardt and Darragh McDermott wrapped up the 2011-12 swimming and diving season for the Fighting Illini at the NCAA Zone C Diving Championships in Bloomington, Ind. The divers did not qualify for the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships next weekend.
Fisher tallied scores of 259.05 in the three-meter dive and 235.50 in the one-meter, while McDermott earned scores of 196.60 in the three-meter and 227.90 in the one-meter. Eberhardt scored 231.80 in the three-meter dive and 203.05 in the one-meter, and Adams earned scores of 215.30 in the three-meter and 201.20 in the one-meter.
"I thought the girls managed the pressure of such a highly competitive meet very well, had good energy levels and really gave it everything they had," Illini diving coach Chris Waters said. "This was a good experience for them, and the outlook for next year is bright."
