WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -
Illini divers freshman Tessa Adams and sophomore Britni Fisher closed out the season competing in the one-and three-meter dives at the NCAA Zone C Diving Championships, March 12-14 at Purdue University. The duo did not qualify for the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships next weekend.
In the one-meter dive on Friday, Fisher finished with a score of 203.60 and Adams scored a 207.60, while the following day in the three-meter dive, Adams tallied a score of 208.20 and Fisher posted a 164.90.
"Overall, I felt Tessa had a solid weekend, and I'm happy with the improvements Britni made," diving coach Chris Waters said. "Things didn't go quite the way we hoped this weekend, but we made the meet, and that was the goal for the year. It sets us up to build even bigger and better goals for next year."
