Illini in Houston - Day 3 | Illini Bowl Central

HOUSTON - The Illini had another busy day in Houston, going through what usually serves as a Thursday practice and participating in the Rodeo Bowl team event, where they defeated Baylor's team. Head coach Ron Zook also was given a special tour of the Johnson Space Center by Illinois graduates and members of the NASA astronaut program Lee Archambault and Mike Hopkins, where he also was able to take a trip in a space shuttle simulator.

At the Rodeo Bowl, Illinois players participated in events such as a touchdown dance competition, calf penning, chalk branding, calf ribbon pull, a stick horse barrel race and a hay bale toss. Both teams also enjoyed a barbecue dinner after the slate of activities.
