CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - Illinois women's soccer seniors Krystin Miller and Danielle Kot earned recognition as members of the ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District Teams on Tuesday. Miller earned Academic All-District First Team recognition, one year removed from being named a member of the All-District Second Team, while Kot received a spot on the Academic All-District Second Team.

Miller, a two-time Academic All-Big Ten and 2009 NSCAA Scholar All-Central Region Honorable Mention honoree, is majoring in molecular and cellular biology with a 3.74 cumulative GPA. Miller has also received the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award in addition to twice being named the Jeremy L. Daly Award recipient, given for outstanding character and a commitment to excellence. On the field, Miller has accumulated the most minutes among Illini women's soccer athletes in 2010 and serves as the team's penalty kick specialist, converting both of her attempts this season.

Kot, also a two-time Academic All-Big Ten award recipient, was named an NSCAA Scholar All-Central Region team member in 2009 in addition to taking home Second Team All-Big Ten honors in 2008 as a sophomore. The Brookfield, Wis., native has earned a 3.51 GPA while majoring in Psychology. Kot is a four-year member of the defense for Illinois, starting and playing in 78 of the 80 total contests since her arrival in 2007.

The Orange and Blue (12-4-1 overall, 5-3-1 Big Ten) conclude their regular season with "Senior Night" at 7 p.m. on Nov. 6 against Northwestern at Illinois Soccer Stadium.
